Cozy Rain

It rained so hard this afternoon Mum thought that she would soon see boats floating past her window at work. I am keeping dry resting here by the fire with Ozzy's squeaky Cat, Mum let me have it since there are no bits of leg, ear or tail left for me to eat. Mum found a wonderful quote below that sums up our thinking exactly.

Rainy Day Entertainment

Ok, so it's been raining for two days straight! Mum refuses to take us to the dog park because she says it will be a giant mud pit. For entertainment I am teaching Ozzy my cat hunting strategy. I sit quietly on the steps that over look our front entry hall and living room. When the silly cat strolls by I quickly race down the stairs and blast her with my best beagle voice. This is just pretend hunting because our Cat is tough and scratches, I just like to scare her. hehehe
Ozzy is good at this game, he learned fast.

Hmmm..... where is that cat.

I am off to bed; Mum said she and Dad are going to take us for walkies in the morning.

Is Dinner Ready?

We have been training with Mum and learned a new game called, 'Don't knock over Mum when she is bringing your dinner bowl'. The object; sit and stay until our bowl has been set down and we are called over. This game sucks! It is pure torture for a Beagle to wait for her food! Even though it is hard; see how good I am doing here with Ozzy. Stewy sits at the table, crazy I know. We also worked on fetch the cuz, i'd rather chew it and run off! All of this indoor activity was due to the huge rain down pour we had on Saturday, and Mum fighting a cold. Sunday we got out for a quick walk in the rain. Mum is trying to be a better rainy day walker.

It has been raining for days now. Mum being a fair weather walker has kept us cooped up. We spotted some lucky pup being walked by a heartier family. Mum promised we would get out tomorrow. Hooray for Saturday! She'll have no excuse for not walking us. -Wish us luck and a hold on the rain.

Spring Dreaming

The warm shinny glow in the sky came out today! Mum said spring is just around the corner. I can not wait, Mum is not much of a walker in the winter months and it gets a little stuffy in the house. The warm glow gave way to rain this evening but that's OK, I just love listening to the rain when I am tucked into a warm bed. Ahhh..... I am dreaming of spring right now: parks, trails, kids, beaches..... Here I come!
