Before The Rain

We got in a good dog park romp before the pouring rain this past weekend. The park is getting very muddy which we love!
I didn't catch this doggy's name but he kept following me around and his hoomans were not keeping an eye on him. He was nice, but made me very nervous.

Aww.... he is handsome, maybe I'll see him next time at the park.

Weekend Update

For Jazz & Dixie, here is a picture of Maynard. He is very shy and normally when Ozzy sits in front of his aquarium he hides in his little house. JI bought the nice big crickets the other day and Ozzy has been trying to sneak into her room and listen to them sing, he is very curious.

Mum took us to the dog park this evening. Yahoo! Stinky ponds here we come.

Good fortune; Nugget finds a ball.

It felt good to run.
Where did Stewy go?

A Dogs Day Out

Mum is busy today with a baby shower.... Personally I think that is a cruel thing to do to a baby, but hey, at least she is not trying to shower me! Anyway, she has promised to take us out tomorrow, it is suppose to be a beautiful sunny day. Even though we adore the dog park Mum thought we would enjoy new scenery, but where? The Beach? or BPA Trail? I am voting for beach so I can get sandy paws all over the house! Mum: And then you'll get a shower!

Here are the pictures we took last Sunday at the dog park. I am finding good scents everywhere!
I tried to teach Dad how to roll on dead things. His performance was disappointing to say the least!

Put your back in it man! Roll... Roll.. come on! Roll! What is he doing?

I think he fell asleep!

OMG How embarrassing! I don't know what Mum sees in him!

Dog Park Action

Stewy and Ozzy run amuck at the dog park.

Miss Nugget in action.

Happy Birthday to our hooman sister Cherry Blossom! Happy Birthday to Stewy too! He was born around this time too... we just don't know the exact date. Stewy is now 8 hooman years old.

We're Back!

We had a meeting with Mum to confront her laziness! We pointed out she has neglected our blog (she is our typist) and she has not taken us to the dog park in weeks! Walking around the neighborhood just does not cut it. Our meeting paid off; we finally got out today, we also scored some really yummy peanut butter dog biscuits.

I found some great long grass with really good smells.

Ode to the Dog Park

Oh Dog Park, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thy smelly treasures, that bring tears to Mum's eyes.

I love thee to the depth of the dog park pond. (Actually there are 4 ponds)

Warning: You may want to turn your sound down. Mum got a little excited when she realized Ozzy jumped in the pond.

I love thee with the passion of a dog at play.

Mum realized she didn't get me in one dog park picture. I tend to lag behind the boys and watch from a distance or stick closer to Mum. There are loads of big dogs at the park and and I am a little shy.

100th Post

Life is good, we had a clear day, made friends at the dog park and Mum FINALLY figured out how to add a video clip. Yay Mum! As you will notice, Ozzy was running around like crazy. Mum was thankfull that he didn't jump into the pond again.

Reflection

My life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I'm happy. I can't figure it out. What am I doing right?” -Charles Schultz

In Stewy's case I think his secret to happiness is the DOG PAAARKK! We will be there bright and early on Saturday to volunteer, clean up etc...

YaHoo! Dog Park Day

Stewy-Moving too fast for Mum's camera. He cried in the car all the way to the park, which made me worry too! We thought we were going to the dreaded groomers. We were very excited when Mum's car pulled into the dog park parking lot.

Mum said to stay out of the ponds but Stewy never listens. The ponds were lovely and muddy.

We discovered many trees blew over in the windstorm we had last month.

There were so many good scents! We played hard and needed a nap when we got home.

How Do They Know?

These two go absolutely nuts if they see me pulling out their leashes. They know it means either walkies or dog park. Once I have their leashes on I can hardly get out of the door without being dragged down the road! My husband likes to stand and watch, apparently seeing my arms yanked out of their sockets is funny stuff. If we are taking the car I like to prep it first by putting down a towel. I also bring along grocery bags for any necessary clean-ups, my camera, etc... I have tried to quietly pack the car and then bring out the dogs, but no matter how sneaky I think I am being, they know. The last time I tried, I was quietly packing plastic bags while Stewy was napping in the next room, I turned around and there he was looking up at me with a little smirk. - He knew! How? I think they can read my mind. So, there I am packing the car with two beagles at the door loudly crying and scratching.- I give up.

Nugget Sniffs Out Current Events

Dogs need to sniff the ground; it's how they keep abreast of current events. The ground is a giant dog newspaper, containing all kinds of late-breaking dog news items, which, if they are especially urgent, are often continued in the next yard. -Dave Barry

We had a great time and played very rough, which made mum nervous!

Low Flying Nuggy

It is amazing what a day at the dog park can do. It's exhilarating, fresh air, muddy ponds and plenty of canine freinds. - What more could a Beagle ask for! Posted by Picasa

Sunday Afternoon at the Dog Park

"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring -- it was peace." --Milan Kundera
