I just read an article in a newsletter sent out by my Vet. It suggests dogs at age seven are considered to be "senior" pets. I thought the rule of thumb was 1 dog year equals 7 human years. This would make Stewy my 7 year old Beagle 49 doggy years. Although Stewy is graying around the face a bit, I don't think he is ready to accept the "senior" tag. Stewy is still full of energy and spirit, especially when he is at the dog park or on a nature walk.
Stewy: 7 yrs 5 mos.
